William H. Kessler, 77, of Bremen, Ohio passed away November 19, 2014 at The James Cancer Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.

William was born May 14, 1937 in Hocking County, Ohio to Oscar Francis and Elizabeth Agnes Kessler. He was a 1956 graduate of Logan High School; and a life member of the NRA and the Ohio Cattleman Association. William's life revolved around his family, farm, and work. His favorite pastime was feeding his fish at his pond.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Norma J. Kessler of Bremen; children, Michael William (Susan) Kessler of Maxville, Jeffrey Allen (Tangela) Kessler of Logan, Rebecca Lynne (Randall) Keys of Logan, Victoria Suzanne (Daniel) Hicks of Logan, Melissa (Jacob) Burns of Logan, and Jennifer Marie (Michael) Wahl of Bremen; grandchildren, Heather Hacker, Hilary Emerson, Sarah Levering, Anna Keys, Christopher and Jordan Hicks, Ezra, Ethan, and Emilee Kessler, Cody and Maddie Burns, and Kimberly and Heidi Wahl; great-grandchildren, Clayton, Owen, Cora, Macie, and Xoey; brothers Edward Kessler of Logan and Patrick Kessler of Bremen; and sister, Elizabeth (Jim) Isabel of Canal Winchester.

William was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Francis and Charles Kessler; sisters, Vincentina Sheets and Patricia VanSickle; and his dog and constant companion, Duke.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Pastor Rick Bennington and Pastor Kathy Reynolds officiating.

Burial will be in South Harvey Cemetery, Bremen, Ohio. Calling hours will be observed Sunday, November 23, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
