Rites Monday For
J. W. Maddux, 81

Funeral services for James Walter Maddux, retired Christian and Trigg County farmer, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Keightly Funeral Home.

Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. Fred R. Pfisterer, of First Methodist Church, assisted by the Rev Jesse Tucker, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Maddux, a native Trigg County, died at 5:15 a. m. at his home, S. Virginia St. He had been ill several months.

A prominent landowner in Trigg and Christian counties. Mr. Maddux was a member of First Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Thomas Young and Doturia Alexander Maddux.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Cladie Freeman Maddux; a brother. Edgar Maddux; a nephew, Clifton Maddux; and two nieces. Mrs. George Jenkins and Mrs. Claude Poindexter, all or the city.

Pallbearers will be Claude Poindexter, George Jenkins. Dell Freeman, Jr., Terry and Lonnie Watkins, and Clifton Maddux, Jr.
