Grant Collier, 83, of 5730 Houston Road, died Wednesday at his residence. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. George Palmer will officiate.


Mr. Collier, a native of Toccoa, had lived in Macon more than 30 years. He was a member of Mikado Baptist Church and Rutland Masonic Lodge, a Navy veteran of World War I and a retired civil service employee.


Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Y. Collier of Macon; a son, John Paul Collier of Macon; a daughter, Mrs. Mayo Lacy of Fort Valley; two brothers, Paul Collier and Garnet Collier, both of Toccoa; a sister, Miss Birdie Collier of Toccoa; and a granddaughter, Miss Lisa Lacy of Fort Valley.


The family will be staying at 5730 Houston Road.
