Humphries, 67, of Hessmer died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, in his residence.
He was a native of Belledeau and a former resident of Tioga for 20 years. He was a member of Refuge Baptist Church, past master and member of Curtis T. Hines Masonic Lodge and a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a retired installer for AT&T.
Survivors include his wife, Enola Gaspard Humphries of Hessmer, one son, Charles Lavell Humphries of Tioga; one stepson, Michael Moras of Hessmer; one daughter, Kathryn Humphries Thomas of Ball; one stepdaughter, Michelle Moras Roy of Hessmer; one brother, Odis Humphries of Tioga; five sisters, Helen Humphries Bradley, Bernice Humphries Griffin and Mae Humphries, all of Tioga, Elaine Humphries Kyle of Austin, Texas, and Brenda Humphries Robertson of Baton Rouge; two grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
