Amanda Emogene Rebecca 'Emma' Robnett married John Henry Blackwell in Wolfe City, TX in 1893 and came to Grayson County in 1920. I was given the actual newspaper clipping of Amanda's (Emma) obituary printed in The Sherman Democrat, Sherman Texas dated Wednesday, July 12, 1950. Since it says she died on Tuesday, that would make her date of death July 11, 1950. I typed out the obituary as is, including any inaccuracies...

Mrs. Emma Blackwell
Mrs. Emma Blackwell, 80, of 801 South Charles, a resident of Sherman for 30 years, died unexpectedly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Brooks, at Madill, Okla., Tuesday at 7 p.m. She had been ill only a few hours following a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at the first Baptist Church, at Wolfe City, Thursday at 3 p.m. The Rev. John Waddill, of Anna Christian Church minister, will conduct.

Pallbearers, all grandsons of the deceased, will be: Maurice Dozier, Charles Nelson, Willard Blackwell, Guy Sparks, Bill Holliman and Jerry Waddil. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, near Wolfe City, directed by Barrett Funeral Home of Sherman.

Mrs. Blackwell was born at Ben Franklin, Texas, April 26, 1870, a daughter of Jack and Dean Simmons Robnett. She was married to J. H. Blackwell at Wolfe City in 1893 and came to Grayson County in 1920. She was a member of the East Sherman Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Six daughters, Mrs. Will Nelson of Wolfe City, Mrs. Hugh W. Wisdon and Mrs. Norman Beall, both of Sherman, Mrs. John Brooks of Madill, Okla., Mrs. Olene Horton of Dallas and Mrs. Gilbert Waddle of Sherman; four sons, L. E. Blackwell of Sherman, Dewey Blackwell of Whitesboro and Fred Blackwell of Tonkawa, Okla., and Wood Blackwell of McAlister; one sister, Mrs. Nan Denney of Wolfe City; one brother, Cy Robnett of Wolfe City; 26 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
