Juanita Gamet, a retired Clarkston nurse, died Thursday at Tri-State Memorial Hospital at Clarkston of a heart attack. She was 77.
She was born Sept. 13, 1914, at Spalding, Idaho, to Louis and Maude Neal Bolen. She attended school at Lapwai.
Gamet married Lester Gamet July 23, 1932, at Lewiston.
She and her husband owned and operated grocery stores at Lewiston and Clarkston.
She worked at Tri-State Memorial Hospital during the 1960s as a licensed practical nurse.
Her husband died Sept. 16, 1984.
She enjoyed gardening and was a self-taught pianist.
Survivors include three daughters, Patty Knopes and Jan Hollenbeck, both of Clarkston, and Shirley Rowland of Lewiston; a son, Dennis Gamet of Spokane; three sisters, Florence Goucher and Catherine Bolen, both of Clarkston, and Jean Wood of Lewiston; three brothers, Arthur Bolen of Sweetwater, Idaho, Clarence Bolen of Clarkston and Gale Bolen of Lewiston; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A sister, a brother and an infant daughter died previously.
A private memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday at Heights Baptist Church at Clarkston. The Rev. Jim Penneywell will officiate.
Cremation will take place.
Malcom's Brower Wann Memorial Chapel at Lewiston is in charge of arrangements.
The family suggests memorials be made to Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, P.O. Box 2472, Spokane, Wash., 99210-2472.
