MADISON - Stanley L. Wampole, age 88, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Oakwood Meadows. He was born on Feb. 26, 1924, in Osseo, the son of Robert and Elsie (Ames) Wampole. He married Iris Mashin on Oct. 23, 1948, in Neilsville. Stanley served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was employed by the Madison Public Schools for more than 20 years. Stanley was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He loved the outdoors and animals. Stanley enjoyed working with children and loved babies.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and eight siblings.
