He was native and lifelong resident of Santa Rosa, Texas born February 16, 1935 to Juan and Guadalupe Trevino Alaniz. Mr. Alaniz loved to dance and enjoyed traveling with his family and fishing.
As a young man he began his career at the Philips 66 fill station as Mr. Richardson's mechanic, he later was owner and operator of the Cain Island Auto Service station in Santa Rosa, TX.
Left behind to cherish his wonderful memory, his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Francisca Alaniz and their children, Armando (Janie) Alaniz, Delia (Leonard) Molina, Susana (Pete) Fonseca, Mary (Sam) Reyes, Joseph (Norma) Alaniz, Benjamin Alaniz, Consuelo Flores, 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grand-children, brother, Juan Alaniz, sister, Beatrice Garcia. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Amador is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Felipa De La Rosa, Adelaida Agado and a grandson Joseph Alaniz Jr.
Visitation will be held today April 27, 2012 beginning at 12:00 noon until 9:00 PM with prayer of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM tonight. Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday April 28, 2012 at 9:00 AM with Fr. Juan Pablo as celebrant at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Santa Rosa. Interment will follow at Santo Nombre Cemetery with full military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post 205 and VFW Post 2410.
