HARRY BRINK PHILLIPS
Harry Brink Phillips, 62, life-long resident of Muscatine county, died at his home on route 6 at 12:10 a.m. today, following an illness of six months with complications of ailments.
Born in Fruitland township Dec. 10, 1875, Mr. Phillips had lived most of his life in Muscatine.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Louella Phillips and a daughter, Loretta, at home; a son, A.J. Phillips, Muscatine; a daughter Gladys Hoskins, Muscatine, and another son, Arthur, Battle Creek, Mich.; a stepson, George Schmidt of route 6, Muscatine; a stepdaughter, Matie Yarck, Muscatine; four other sons, Cecil, Richard, Carl, and Berton Phillips by a former marriage; three brothers, Taylor Phillips, Fred Phillips and Charles Phillips, all of Muscatine; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Ruckles, Mrs. Jenny Richards and Mrs. Etta Furnas all of Muscatine; seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild, Betty Cummings of Monmouth, Ill.
The body is at the Ralph G. Wittich Funeral home and will remain there until Monday afternoon, when funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.
Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
