RUTH BLEEKS
AUBURN - Ruth Bleeks, 79, a lifelong Auburn resident, died Thursday at 4:04 p.m. at DeKalb Memorial Hospital. She had been in ailing health for one year. She made her latest residence at 909 E. 7th St. in Auburn.
She was born Sept. 15, 1898 in Concord Township. She married Charles Bleek, deceased, of Auburn on Oct. 14, 1916.
Mrs. Bleeks is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Lancaster Morr and Mrs. Wayne (Hilma) Culler, RR I Auburn. She is also survived by son Hubert Bleeks, RR 3 Auburn; a brother, Walter Morr, RR 1 Auburn; a sister, Mrs. Pauline Simanton of Auburn; six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bleeks was the oldest member of the Concord Union Methodist Church. She was a member of WSCS of that church and of the Senior Citizens League in Auburn.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Auburn's Bale Funeral Home. The Rev. Russell Touge of the Concord United Methodist Church will officiate services. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
