CHARLES H. BLEEKS of ST. JOE PASSES AWAY
Charles H. Bleeks, 79, of Rt. 1, St. Joe, passed away Tuesdy at 7:10 a.m. in the DeKalb Memorial Hospital in Auburn, where he was admitted as a patient seven hours earlier.
The body was taken to the Gerig funeral home in Auburn, where final rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Everett Haines, pastor of the Methodist church at Waterloo, officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn cemetery, near Auburn.
Mr. Bleeks was born in Concord Township, Sept. 16, 1888, the son of the late William and Elsie Gill Bleeks. He was married to Ruth Morr in a ceremony at St. Joe, Oct. 14, 1916. Mr. Bleeks had retired as a farmer.
Survivors include the widow, at home on Rt. 1, St. Joe; two daughters, Mrs. Wayne Culler, Rt. 1, Auburn, and Mrs. Stanley Schope, Syracuse, Ind.; a son, Hubert Bleeks, Rt. 2, Auburn; seven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A daughter, Miss Lorraine Bleeks, is deceased.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

Funeral services for Charles H. Bleeks, 79, of Rt. 1, St. Joe, were held in the Gerig funeral home in Auburn at 2 p.m. Thursday. Officiating was the Rev. Everett Haines, pastor of the Methodist church in Waterloo. Burial followed in the Woodlawn cemetery near Auburn. Mr. Bleeks, a native of DeKalb County, passed away Tuesday morning.
