Noal C. Bethel, 86, of New Florence, died at his home there Wednesday morning, April 7, 1971. He was born in Montgomery Co., September 19, 1884, a son of Elias and Amanda Bryant Bethel. He was married to Mabel Lorene Bethel, who preceded him in death September 25, 1970.
Mr. Bethel is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Mueller of Clayton and Mrs. Owen (Naomi) Burgess of Jonesburg; five sons, Irvin, Carl, Richard and Donald of New Florence and Garland of Sullivan; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grand-children; and a brother, Ernest of Centralia, and a sister, Mrs Ada Hill of Wellsville.
Funeral services were held at the Schlanker Funeral Home, Montgomery City. The Rev. Tom Higgins of the Evangelical and Reformed Church of High Hill officiated. Burial was in the New Florence Cem.
