J.T. Aldridge Dies At Sinking Fork

John Thomas Aldridge, son of he late Eugene Thomas and Susan Guthrie Aldridge, died at his home near Sinking Fork School this morning at 6:40 from a complication of diseases from which he suffered for several months. He would have been 59 years old in November.

Mr. Aldridge with his family moving to the Sinking Fork community from Providence in 1936 and had followed the occupation of farming until incapacitated by illness. he was born Nov. 18, 1882 near Gracey, and for 25 years was employed by the Ruckman Coal Co. at Providence. He was also an engineer on the Illinois Central Railway for several years and was located at Princeton.

He was married to Miss Wilma Dodds December 15, 1926 and of this union two children were born, Sue Murray, aged 12 and Eugene Shaw, aged 4, all of whom survive him. Surviving also are three brothers, Clarence Aldridge of South Holland, Ill., and Charles and Carl Aldridge who made their home with the deceased. One sister, Mrs. Herman Hoskins of Henderson County also survives.

The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at the home at 10 o'clock and interment will be at the Stewart family cemetery.
