Mrs. LaVirgie Ayers, formerly of Blossom, died at 6:05 p.m. Saturday at the Cherry Street Annex.
Services were to be at 4 p.m. Monday at the Nazarene Church in Blossom with the Rev. Henry Green officiating. Burial was to be in Knights of Honor Cemetery at Blossom by Leverett-Steele-Thomas Funeral Home of Paris.
Mrs. Ayers was born Jan. 22, 1908, in Paris, daughter of Thomas Wesley Woodall and the former Luerellia Tedder. She married Alvin Ayers in 1925 in Paris. He died in July 1968. She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Blossom and had taught a Sunday School class there for a number of years.
Survivors include one son, Charles Ray Ayers of Dallas; one daughter, Mrs. Delila Wisdom of Irving; one brother, Wallace Woodall of Paris; three sisters, Mrs. Andrew Jackson of Paris and Mrs. Cliff Martin and Mrs. C. A. Richards, both of Blossom; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were to be H. L. (Doc) Foote, Joseph Gonzalez, Albert White, Thomas Jackson, Floyd Lee and Terry Woodall.
