Burial was in Salem Cemetery near Athens under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Homer.
Mrs. Abercrombie died Oct 9th at the Presbyterian Village. She was a self-employed beautician and a retired postal worker for the U.S. Government. She was a Baptist and a member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loy Abercrombie.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Jackie Abercrombie, Hugh T. Abercrombie, Jerry and Mary Abercrombie, all of Athens; one brother and sister-in-law Hugh T. and Clara McDonald of Texarkana, Texas; eight grandchildren, Stacy, Cindy, Brian, Dustin, Jill, Nick, Ashley and Will, and numerous nieces and nephews.
