Technical Sergeant 3 25th Ordinance Company
Samuel Bletz of Lamar died at the Lock Haven Hospital yesterday at 8 pm He was born in Greenburr, Clinton County, on March 4, 1917 ,the son of Isaac and Laura Embick Bletz.
He was survived by his wife, the former Marguerite Meyer, and one daughter, Lisa Bletz of Lamar. One brother and four sisters also survivd: Marcellus, Tompsonville, Connecticut; Mrs John Strouse, Spring Mills; Mrs. Samuel Day, Madisonburg; Florence Mann and Mrs. Howard Day, both of Lock Haven.
Mr. Bletz was a veteran of world War II and for the past 42 years was employed at the Adam Dickey Auto Company, Lock Haven.
Services were held at the Dean Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, Mill Hall, with the Reverend Francis Yarlett of Mackeyville officiating.
Burial was in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery Porter Township, Clinton County.
