Donald DePree was born Dec. 15, 1906 in Alta, Iowa to James and May DePree. He married Evelyn Kortan Oct. 2, 1970 in Park Rapids, Minnesota. He was a resident of Sauk Centre Minnesota for the last 5 1/2 years of his life. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Sauk Centre American Legion Club. He was a retired rural mail carrier and a member of the Rural Mail Carriers Association.

Survivors were his wife; son and daughter, Donald DePree Jr., Willmar; Meredith DePree, Melforse; mother, May Olman, Paynesville; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Wilbur.
