John Gordon Abbey, b. March 18, 1874; d. May 9, 1902, at Phoenix, Ariz.

Served in Company B, 4th U. S. Infantry in the Spanish War, was promoted to Corporal for bravery at San Juan Hill, Cuba, took part in battles in the Philippines, notably at Caloocan.
