Judy Diane Ballard Fisher, passed away April 19, 2012 at Northeast Medical Center at the age of 62, she fought a courageous 2 year battle against cancer. She amazed everyone with her strength and courage to fight so hard.

She was born December 22-1949 in Cabarrus County daughter of Fannie Scott Ballard and the late Dewey E. Ballard.

She worked for UNC Charlotte for 30 years and retired in 2003, she also was an aerobic teacher for Cabarrus Parks and Recreation for 15 years. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.

She loved the simple things in life, working in her yard, planting flowers, walking, going to the beach and truly loved her family and pets. She had a knack for making things beautiful and making all of those who were close to her feel special. She especially loved being Nana.

She is survived by her mother Fannie Ballard of Horizon Bay Assisted Living, Concord, her soul-mate and truly devoted spouse Eddie Warren Fisher, her only child, daughter Anne-Marie Key, granddaughter, Mary-Katherine Key, step-daughter Karry Fisher, step grandchildren, Morgran –Grace, Sarah and Greg Fisher and her brother Jerry Ballard.

Judy will be honored at a later date with a memorial service for close friends and family. She has requested no flowers but memorial donations sent to the Cabarrus County Humane Society or to cancer research.

Judy will be missed by many, but her loving spirit and wonderful memory will be felt forever.
