Hiram Nichols, collector of the town of leicester, died in Moscow last Friday. He had been in poor health for a number of years, but always attended to his business in a faithful manner. His funeral was held on Sunday, and was one of the largest ever seen in that town, his friends and neighbors taking this manner of showing their appreciation of his good qualities.
