Jane, daughter of William James and Jane Hardy Linkletter, was born and raised on Prince Edward Island Canada. She came from large early settler family.
On June 23, 1856 she married George A. Sharp. They had eight children. Jane worked as a nurse.
In 1891, she immigrated to MN, where some of her children had moved. For the next several years, she lived part time with her many children in several states.
Her last few years, she lived with her daughter, Harriet Ives, where she passed away after a four month illness.
Jane lived 74 years 8 months and 29 days.
