Statesboro - Sidney "Skinner" Roberts died on Saturday, September 3rd, at his residence. He was a native of Screven County and a member of Springhead United Methodist Church. He attended the public schools of Bulloch County and was last employed as a construction worker.
He is survived by seven sisters, Bernice Roberts, Cooperville, Ga., Eula Mae Lamount, Rosa Diane Ford, Joann Odoms, Carolyn Wilkerson, Michelle Roberts, all of Statesboro, and Sharon (Jimmy) Williams, Atlanta, Ga.; seven brothers, Booster (Sandy) Roberts, Gary Roberts and Jerry Roberts, all of Arlington, Texas, Ralph Roberts, Macon, Ga., Larry Roberts, Willie Roberts and Bernard Roberts, all of Statesboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Mr. Roberts will be held on Saturday, September 10th, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of James R. Barnes Mortuary with the Rev. Donald Chavers officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery. James R. Barnes Mortuary.
