Jewell Davenport Goodin, 76, of Pineville passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at her home. She was born in Pineville on April 11, 1936 a daughter of the late Charlie and Mossie Lee West Davenport. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and had been a homemaker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Davenport and John Davenport.

Survivors include her sons; Mike "Dutch" Goodin, John Paul Goodin; daughter, Sondra Goodin; step-son, James Goodin; daughters-in-law, Alice Goodin, Betty Goodin and Rebecca Goodin and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Elias Davenport, Silas Davenport, Roxie Sparks, Goldie Beck, Ruth Matthews, Beatrice Philpot, Kathleen Sturgill and Birdie Foster and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. The family would like to extend a Special Thanks to Robin and Hank for the Love and Care that they gave.

Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Liford and Rev. Harold Gene. Music will be by Bob and Loraine Ulrich. Burial will follow in the Mills Cemetery with Mike Girdner, Tim Rader, Jordan Honeycutt, Charlie Mason, Hank Honeycutt and Mike Tolliver serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 9 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church. Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center is honored to serve the Goodin family.
