Gulfport, MS ~ Anna Lee Shoemaker, age 64, of Gulfport, passed away on April 15, 2012.
Miss Shoemaker was a lifelong resident of Gulfport and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ida Shoemaker, a brother, William D. Shoemaker, and a sister, Jean Thompson.
Survivors include her son, Michael R. Shoemaker, a grandson, Bradley Shoemaker, her 3 brothers, Kenneth W. Shoemaker, Wendell D. Shoemaker, and James "Pete" Shoemaker, 5 sisters, Dorothy Fayard, Shirley Barnes, Carol Dew, Patricia Parker, and Jenny Lockridge, numerous nieces and nephews, including her 2 favorite niece and nephew, Kayla Thompson and Daniel Thompson, and her special friend, Richard Darling.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 19, 2012, from 11 am - 1 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will be in the Free Church of God Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the Humane Society of South MS, 2615 Hwy 49, Gulfport, MS 39501.

Note: Anna Lee and her family lived in the Woolmarket community just behind the Coalville Methodist Church on the left side of the road across the road from Mr. Jimmy Lysle. The old home is probably gone now. She and her siblings attended the Woolmarket School for many years. I do not know at what point in time they left Woolmarket.
