DEATH OF MRS. R.D. BLOUNT
Mrs. Florence Viola Blount, wife of Reuben D. Blount, died at her home in this city last Saturday evening at the age of 36 years, 6 months and 16 days. Her death was caused by throat and lung trouble from which she has suffered for a long time. Funeral services were held at the Christian church Monday afternoon, Rev. Parker officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in the Larned cemetery. The deceased leaves a husband and one son, Everett, to mourn her loss, four other children having died in infancy.
Florence Viola Bishop was born at Verdin, Illinois, September 27, 1864. She came to Pawnee county with her parents about twenty-nine years ago, and was married to Reuben Blount May 25, 1884. Her father and two sisters live at Houston, Texas, one sister at Aline, O.T. and two brothers at O'Keene, O.T. Mrs. Blount was an active member of the church of Christ at Larned, having given her life to the service of the Lord Jesus June 24, 1888.
