EDWARD S. PISARSKI

Edward S. Pisarski, 82, of Bridgeton died Monday evening May 24, 2004 at S.J. Hospital - Newcomb in Vineland. He had been in declining health for the last few months.

The son of the late Edward Sr. and Veronica Dyzio Pisarski, he was born in New York City and had been a Bridgeton resident for most of his life. He was a 1940 graduate of Bridgeton High School where he was a varsity football player. A resident of his current address for over fifty years, Mr. Pisarski was a US Army-Air Corps Veteran of World War II.

He attended trade school and became a machinist and worked at the former Ferracute Machine Company in Bridgeton and also for the Central Machine Company in Newark. In addition, he was employed by Kowalski Express in Millville several years ago. For thirty-seven years, Mr. Pisarski worked as a machinist at the Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton before retiring.

He was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Bridgeton and was also a member of the Shoemaker Post #95 American Legion. Mr. Pisarski also played semi-pro football and was the center on the well known Bridgeton Indians football team.

Predeceased by his wife Angelina Viventi Pisarski in 1962, he is survived by one son, Edward D. Pisarski of Greenwich, one daughter Jean Platania of Miami, FL, nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Helen Gutowski in 1985 and a brother, Chester Pisarski in 1992.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Liturgy at 10 o'clock Friday morning May 28th at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 312 N. Pearl St., Bridgeton.

The interment will be made at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township.

Friends will be received at the Church of the Immaculate Conception Friday morning from 9 until 10.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Freitag Funeral Home, Bridgeton.
