Hiram was the son of John & Nancy Hundley and the husband of Martha Anne Edwards

Hiram the son of John and Nancy Hundley was born May 12 1821 in Henry County Virginia.
He married Martha Anne Edwards January 21 1849 in Henry County.
Martha was the daughter of James and Martha Ann Edwards. She was born June 21 1830 in Henry County.
Hiram bought 92 acres of land from John Calloway 10 miles west of the court house in what is now Bassett Virginia in 1856. Total worth was $276.00. The tax on this property was $1.10.
According to a handwritten note in the Bassett Virginia Library, Hiram served in the Civil War as 2nd Lieut. Company K 53rd Virginia Infantry.
Hiram died November 30 1904 and was followed by Martha on May 12 1908.
They were buried on the old home place in Bassett Va. These graves have since been moved to the Bassett Family Cemetery in Bassett Virginia.
