Pine River Farmer Dies, was 74
William John Pankow, 74 years old, pioneer, Pine River
died in his home at 7:00 p.m. last night. He had been ill three months.
Mr. Pankow was born in Germany Sept. 16,1866, son of John Pankow, and came here when young.
Also was an American War Veteran.
Survived are his wife and six sons; Robert, Arthur, August,
Harold and Leslie of Merrill, Ferdinand of Haven, Kansas,
two daughters; Mrs. Ellsworth (Alma) Annis and Mrs. Arthur (Martha) Neumann both of Merrill,two brother of Merrill: 34 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The Funeral will be held from the resident next Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and than at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill, at 2:00 p.m. the Rev. W.L. Kohn officiating, Burial will be in Merrill Cemetery, Merrill, Wisconsin
