Urbana Daily Citizen, Urbana, Ohio, Monday, June 14, 1965

Benton Knotts, 76, of Westville, died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the Champaign Nursing Home.

He was born July 26, 1888, in Hillsboro, O., the son of Benjamin and Sara Elizabeth Knotts.

Knotts spent most of his life in the Westville community, where he was a member of the Methodist Church. He was a former employe of the Grimes Manufacturing Co., Urbana.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Luella Higgs, of Westville, and Mrs. Amanda Messenger of Springfield; three brothers, Carl, of Westville, Thomas of Urbana route three, and Tennie of Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Humphrey and Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Malcolm D. Hooker, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Urbana, officiating.

Burial will be in Nettle Creek Cemetery, south of Westville.

Friends may call at the funeral one until time of services.
