Sudden Death
A sad and startling death was that of young Charlie Knotts near Samantha last Saturday afternoon.
He and several companions were running a foot race across a field, with the Knotts boy well in the lead.
His companions saw him fall, and, supposing he had stumbled kept on. Finding he did not rise, they returned and found him dead. Coroner Larken and Dr. Thomas of Samantha attribute his death to organic heart trouble, though no post mortem was held.
The boy was sixteen years old, a bright, active lad, and the son of Benj. Knott who lives on the farm of Esq. Underwood.
