After an illness of more than a year’s duration Miss Mary E Clark died Tuesday night at the home of her parents, Mr and Mrs Wilson G Clark, one half mile east of Gladden’s Corner. She was a victim of Tuberculosis. Miss Clark was the first named of the defendants in the Purdue hazing case. At the time of the filing of the suit by Mabel Rogers of Shoals, Indiana, more than a year ago. Miss Clark suffered a nervous collapse, and her health had been impaired since that time. Miss Clark was born in Lauramie township October 8, 1893. She was graduated from the high school at Clark’s Hill and entered Butler college, at Indianapolis. She spent three years studying at Purdue and she graduated last June. She was then engaged teacher of domestic science at the Lafayette public schools.
