Miss Florence Obenchain, a bright and interesting daughter of Esq. T. J. Obenchain, died in this place, after a week's illness, yesterday morning about 1 o'clock, age 16 years. The deceased had not been in good health for several months but when her illness assumed a more serious type during the past week her death was not anticipated and the grief of her devoted family relatives is thereby made doubly great. They have our sympathies and those of the community in their severe bereavement.
The funeral services of Miss Obenchain will be conducted by Rev. J. R. Winchester, at St. John's P.E. Church, this evening at 4 o'clock, after which the interment will take place at the Presbyterian cemetery.
