He was promoted to surgeon May 17, 1865, and honorably discharged with the regiment July 31, 1865.
He married Annie Margarette Cornman October 27,1863, in Carlisle and fathered Mary (b. @1861), Raymond Cornman (b. @1864 or 67), Ella (b. 06/08/70, d. 11/06/71), and Marian B. (b. 12/29/71 - married Rudolph Kelker Spicer).
