An illness which followed a stroke suffered a year ago was fatal to Emil Richard Reiman, who died Monday morning, February 15, at his home in Miller. He had been in poor health for many years, and had been hospitalized at various times.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. Harry Ackerman officiating. Burial will be made in The G.A.R. cemetery.
Reiman had been prominently identified with community affairs in Spring Hill township where he lived until last fall when he and his wife moved to Miller. He was born August 10, 1895, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gottfried Reiman at Parkston, and was baptized and confirmed in the Kulm Lutheran Church.
Surviving his death are his wife, two sons, Gottfried and Donald, both of Ree Heights; six daughters, Mrs. Vincent (Ruth) Anderson, Los Altos, Calif,; Mrs. Arnold (Eldora) Mueller, Albuquerque; Mrs. Maynard (Gertrude) Anderson, Detroit; Mrs. Milton (Irene) Blehm, Denver; Ester Reiman, Palo Alto, Calif,; and Mrs. Rick (Marie) Winsell, Rapid City; two sister, Mrs. Albert Schulz and Mrs. John Huether, Gait, Calif. There are also sixteen grandchildren. One son, Alton died in infancy.
