Son of Murlin & Bethania Sparger. Operated tobacco factory @ Mount Airy, NC. In 1903 moved to Greensboro, NC where he operated the Scott - Sparger Wholesale Grocery. In 1873 married Louisa Diana Mitchell of Mount Airy. They had 4 sons and 4 daughters.

I found this plaque for sale at the Hillsville, VA Flea Market on September 2nd, 2018. Obviously Mr. Sparger was a much loved member of his church during his lifetime and at the time of his death. Does anyone know the name of the church?
