Darlington- Dorothy Abbott Shelley, age 92, passed away on April 12, 2012 at McLeod Hospice House. She was born September 1, 1919 in Darlington County to the late G. Walter Abbott and Juanita Revell Abbott. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Levoy F. Shelley and was a lifelong member of Central Baptist Church.
She is survived by and will be missed by her children, Abbott M. Shelley of Latta, SC, Jane Shelley McWhite of Columbia, SC and Perry W. (Doris) Shelley of Litchfield, S.C., four grandchildren, Al (Tara) McWhite of Myrtle Beach, SC, Scott (Betsy) McWhite of Lexington, S.C., Rebecca (Keith) Foxworth of Summerton, SC and Kelly (Ray) DeJong of Chattanooga, Tenn and eight great grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by five brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Saturday, April 14, at Belk Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, April 15, in Grove Hill Cemetery.
