Mrs. Carol Greene Batey, a resident of Union County, Florida, passed away early Monday morning April 9, 2012, in the Haven Hospice of the Suwannee Valley following an extended illness. She was 68 years old.

Life Companion: Bill Baker
Carol was a lifelong resident of Columbia and Union Counties. She was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Lake City Moose Lodge. She very much enjoyed dancing, throwing darts, playing dominoes, cooking and entertaining, especially for her family, but her favorite hobby was fishing.
At the time of her death, Carol was grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on April 12, 2012, followed by private family interment services.
