Mr. Salazar was born October 26, 1932, in Mexico. He had been a resident of Abilene for the past forty-five years. He was a member of St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Salazar of Abilene; four sons, Salvador "Chava" Salazar, Jr. of California, Alejandro Salazar and Herman Salazar, both of Mexico and Hector Salazar of Abilene; Dilva Salazar and Norma Salazar, both of Mexico, Guadalupe Salazar Perez and husband, John, Yolanda Salazar and Laura Salazar, all of Abilene; five, sisters, Maria Cruz, Eugracia Salazar, Rosalina Salazar, Eloisa Salazar and Elba A. Salazar; and numerous grandchildren.
