Wyoming Area, Dies
In Madison

Edward M. Hickcox, a pioneer resident of the township of Wyoming, passed away at a Madison hopital Monday. The deceased was one of the community's successful farmers but since the death of his wife about six years ago he turned the management of the farm over to his son, Marvin, and he has spent much of his time with his children. He is survived by five daughters, Verda, a nurse now stationed in Siam, Mrs. Gertrude Price, Avoca, Mrs. Sadie Klosterman, Bogata, New Jersey; Mrs. Amy Bennett, Wisconsin Rapids; and Mrs. A. E. Eckhert, Springfield, Ohio; and four sons Guy and Marvin of Spring Green; Orrin, Hudson, Wis.; and Clark of Naco, Arizona.
Funeral services were held from the Wyoming church Thursday

"Jack, the little 5 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bennett of Aberdeen, South Dakota, and a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. E M. Hickcok, was operated upon recently in a hospital at Aberdeen for the removal of a tumor on one of his kidneys. It was found necessary to remove the kidney. The last report said the little fellow was getting along nicely. The operation was performed by Dr Hiram King."
