George Daniel "Dan" Goodroe, 71 of Woodford died Wednesday February 29, 2012 at his home.
Born in Georgia, he was a U.S. Navy veteran and was the Rainbow vacuum distributor in the Fredericksburg area for 44 years. He loved the Lord and was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Ruther Glen. His passion was golf and had made three holes in one.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Sue Goodroe; his mother, Martha G. Goodroe; three daughters, Shay Milligan, Shaar Conwell and Sommer Goodroe; two sisters, Jean Spurgeon and June Goodroe; a brother, Don Goodroe; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Milligan, Kenny, Brianna and Abigail (Abbie) Shifflett, Timothy (L.T.) Coleman, Savannah Jones and Brian (B.J.) Conwell; three great grandchildren, Taylor Black and Anthony and Daniel Milligan.
A funeral service will be Monday, March 5th at 2:00pm in Concord Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Sunday 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Concord Baptist Church
