Obituary - The Clarion Democrat Newspaper, Dec 9, 1920:
The body of Henry GRUVER, who was formerly a resident of Sigel and was well known throughout a large part of Clarion County, was brought to Sigel on Nov 29th and given interment.
Mr. Gruver died in a hospital in California Sunday, Nov 21, 1920 from fever. He was a native of Sigel and resided there until about 25 years ago, being engaged in the drilling and contracting business, when he went to Kansas, where he has followed that line of work with considerable success.
While on a business trip to California he was overtaken by sickness and death. The body was accompanied home by some eighteen friends from Oklahoma, Kansas and California.
Mr. Gruver was never married. He is survived by his aged mother, Mrs. Salome GRUVER, of Sigel, and two brothers and three sisters.
