Louis Miles Jack, 72, died today in the family home, 1213 W. University.
He was born in Logansport and lived in Madison before moving to Muncie, where he attended school and graduated from Burris High School in 1933.
A Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Jack was a pilot and mechanic for Warner Gear, now Borg Warner Automotive, Transmission Systems, before retiring in 1976. He worked most of the time at the Delaware County Airport.
He was a member of Hazelwood Christian Church, Muncie Moose Lodge 33 and AARP.
Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Almajane; three daughters, Tamara Cale, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mrs. Jeff (Sheri) Hole and Mrs. Steven (Alyson( Madsen, both of Muncie; his mother, Dora H. Jack, Muncie; a brother, H. Miles Jack, Muncie; a sister, Mrs. Wilbur (June) Crim; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
