H. Miles Jack, 79, 606 S. Catalpa Drive, died Sunday in Ball Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Jack, who was born in Logansport, moved to Muncie as a child. He attended city schools and graduated from Burris High School, and he attended Ball State Teachers College (now Ball State University). He retired in 1981 after 35 years at Warner Gear (now Borg-Warner Automotive), where he had been a company pilot and worked in reliability engineering. He had been a Navy pilot during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Geraldine Lingemen Jack; a daughter, Michele Jack (husband: John Andrews), Oxford, N.Y.; a son, Michael Miles Jack, Muncie; a sister, June Crim, Muncie, and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, Harry and Dora Miles Jack, and a brother, Louis Jack, are deceased.
Private services will be in Meeks Mortuary. Entombment will be in Elm Ridge Mausoleum.
