RUSSELL - Carl P. Busch, 83, died Wednesday, July 11, 2001, at the Russell Regional Hospital. He was born Sept. 19, 1917, in Bushton to Carl and Mamie (Feist) Busch. He grew up in Chase. He was a U.S. military veteran of World War II. He married Cornelia J. Hoff on May 14, 1946, in Wichita. He owned and operated Busch´s KT Service Station, Russell, retiring in 1973. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and life member of the Russell VFW and Fourth Degree member of the Russell Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Robert, Augusta, and Kenneth, Russell; a daughter, Janice Simmons, Hays; a brother, Arthur, Wichita; two sisters, Mildred Busch, Enid, Okla., and Kathryn Gleisner, Wichita; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry, two brothers, James and Harold, and two sisters, Mary and Irene Busch.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Russell, with Father Charles Steier officiating; burial in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Russell. Pohlman´s Mortuary, Russell in charge.
