Florence S. (Becker) Brickner, 81, of West York, died Sunday afternoon at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Brickner.

Mrs. Brickner was born Nov. 11, 1918, in York. She was the daughter of the late Franklin and Ida (Beck) Becker.

She was a waitress at several local restaurants. She was a member of Viking Athletic Association, Shiloh American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7374 Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Brickner is survived by a daughter, Shirley A. Rhoads of York; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and five sisters, Irene Rohrbaugh, Katherine Chronister, Dorothy Toomey, Thelma Dellinger, all of York and Betty Gallo of Pottsville. Mrs. Brickner was preceded in death by a grandson.

The service will be 2 p.m. Friday at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home Inc., 2114 W. Market St., York. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery, York. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Dr. Bradley A. Brown, pastor of Zion United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 1030 Carlisle Road, York 17404.
