He was preceded in death by his parents: Riley and Alice Kilgore and one sister: Louise Schmidt.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Jo Kilgore; three sons, Roland Kilgore (Elsa), James Kilgore (Melissa), and Michael Kilgore (Leslie); one brother, Ronald Kilgore; 7 grandchildren; Ashley, Chelsea, Allyson, Michael, Ryan, Stan, and Brian; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Riley served in the U.S. Army as Army Ranger Airborne Company 11 during Korean Conflict. He worked for Southwestern Bell for 38 years as a lineman. After retirement, he started his own business named Telephone
Repair and Installation Company. Riley truly loved his telephone career.
Visitation will be held today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Henry Thomae Funeral Home in San Benito.
Chapel services will be Monday, April 9, 2012, at Henry Thomae Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, with full military honors by American Legion and VFW.
Services have been entrusted to the care of Henry Thomae Funeral Home 701 N. Bowie San Benito.
