Bessie J. Weber, 96, of Geneseo, died Friday, April 6, 2012, at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Concordia Lutheran Church, Geneseo. The Rev. Christopher Bushre will officiate. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, 225 E. Park St., Geneseo. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Geneseo.

Bessie June Gradert was born June 1, 1915, in Cornwall Township, Henry County, the daughter of Louis and Elsie Rahn Gradert. She married Raymond Weber on April 27, 1935, in Geneseo. He died on Nov. 4, 1975.

Bessie farmed with her husband in Edford Township until 1961. She also had worked at Farber & Larimer Grocery, Geneseo, and at Hammond-Henry Hospital. She had cleaned at St. John's Church for many years and also had done cleaning for the funeral homes in Geneseo and for other residences in the Geneseo area.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Edford Twp., and the Adult Fellowship of the church, Henry Co. Farm Bureau and a bunko club. She enjoyed arts and crafts, playing cards, flower gardening, camping and fishing.

Survivors include a daughter, Roberta (Art) Glazier, Geneseo; a son, Robert Weber, Cambridge; daughter-in-law, Doris Weber, Orion; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Gradert, Geneseo; and two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Stanley, six brothers and six sisters.
