Funeral services for John Carstensen, 58, were held June 18 at Hayden funeral home. The Rev. Lloyd Dutro officiated. Burial was in the Olin cemetery.
Mr. Carstensen died June 14 at his home east of Olin. He was born Dec. 30, 1904 near Oxford Jct. the son of Henry and Anna Petersen Carstensen. He was reared in the Oxford - Olin vicinity. On Aug 22, 1931, he was married to Hazel Vrooman at Dakota City, Nebr. He farmed in the Olin area.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, Norman of Oxford Jct; three sisters, Elsie and Hilda Carstensen and Mrs. Arthur Ahrendsen, all of Wyoming, and three grandchildren.
