H. N. DEARMORE
Funeral services for judge H. N. DEARMORE, age 58, of Montague, were held Sunday afternoon, Feb. 15. He died Friday morning after suffering a heart attack Wednesday night. The services were held at Montague with interment at Elmwood cemetery at Bowie arranged by Burgess Funeral Home. Rev. J. D. DAVIDSON of Seminary Hill conducted the services at the Montague Baptist church and Masonic services were held at the grave. Judge DEARMORE, a native of Logan County, Arkansas, came to Montague County in 1888. For several years he taught in the rural schools, then later served as district clerk for two terms. He retired from the bench in 1935 after serving as county judge for four terms. Since then he had done general practice and conducted an insurance business. He was an active churchman, prominent in fraternal circles, being a member of several lodges, and a zealous worker in civic affairs of the community and county. He was chairman of the Montague County Red Cross Chapter at the time of his death. Survivors are his widow; two children Mrs. RINNIE HALL of Alla Bena, California, and BILL DEARMORE of Bowie; three brothers, A. J. DEARMORE of Bowie, W. E. DEARMORE of Wanette, Oklahoma, and B. F. DEARMORE of California.
