John Hall Boydstun was the son of Cavanaugh Boydstun and Polly Slape.

First Marriage: He married on 16 Jan 1845 in Hamilton Co., TN, to Elizabeth Cummings b. 7 Nov 1821 in TN; they had one daughter Mary Elizabeth Boydstun.

Second Marriage: He married on 18 Nov 1852 in the Methodist Episcopal Church South to Pauline Ridge; they had one daughter, Angeline Boydstun.

Third Marriage: He married on 22 May 1855 in Liberty Township, Pope, AR to Sina Ann Jane Ridge (buried at Gethsemane); they had the following children: George Allwyn, William C., John Frank, Robert Berry, James Henry, Thomas Hall, Alfred Preston, Martin Randolph, Angeline J., Richard Newport, Benjamin B., Alice, and Ellis Milton Boystun.

John was a horse breeder and cattle rancher who served in the Civil War: Confederate Supporter, rode with Qauntrill's Raiders; he was also in the Masonic Lodge in Pope Co., AR, and in Caddo, OK.
